People seem fake on the outside,

Truth is hard to find.

They laugh and hold hands with you,

Yet stab you behind with their deceitful eyes.

Many may be pure inside,

But few showcase it out there.

People, at times, appear daunting, even godlike.

They define a truth that's inherently false.
