Eternal Love

Gazing amidst the darkness enveloping around,

Loneliness crept in me, not a familiar voice to be heard,

Just the soft howl of the wolves,

Calling for their loved ones to gather beside,

The frosty breeze, in the bleak night

Showered some love as it flew along.

 

The queen of the night bloomed,

Filling affection in the air,

As its sweet smell welcomed the celestial body above,

The glimmering shine, the richness in her hue,

Sparkling her glorious light, making it a blissful night.

 

She came with the love that endured,

The faithfulness, and the eager to see,

Her loved one sleeping peacefully.

 

Sometimes she hid,

Shy as she took cover in the clouds,

Sometimes she outrightly came to meet her lover,

Blessing him with all the love so bright,

So mesmerizing, so enduring,

That it fought against the sad and misery in life,

And it dismissed the darkness of the night.

 

Sitting and thinking of a love so genuine,

So trusting and so pure,

Brought my heart to ecstasy,

And I realized that I wasn’t lonely,

I was alone.
