Life is a Roller-coaster

“Life is a roller-coaster” they say, 

But do we really want it that way?

The ups make memories of content and merriment, 

But the downs are the dreadful ones, the pangs of the past,

The ones we resent, and forever want to forget, 

“The grass is greener on the other side”, we say,

The other’s ride is smoother than ours, we think,

But we do forget he too rides the same roller-coaster of life,

He has his own highs and own sinks.

ster may be slow, may be fast,

You may cry, and you may laugh, 

You will elevate towards your peak, you will sink in the depth of misery, 

But don’t fret and fume in this journey you must take, 

Don’t give up, 

It’s a journey that won’t last.

 

Life is like a wave with its ups and downs,

Life is like a heartbeat, which when still, it’s gone

It’s a short journey of yours,

Don’t grumble and lament,

As in a few moments, it will end.
