ELYSIAN
ELYSIAN
I moved among the Elysian Fields in search of those good times
In turn I came across the daffodils swaying mightily in a simple disguise
Yellow over orange me defeated in a single stretch
The silence talking by itself.
I took in the entire episode a one eyed witness
Seeking pleasure and chasing dreams from measure to measure
As if these fields belonged to me in a now filled fantasy
My imagination taking turns to see these Elysian burns
As a fellow from the heavens I received no warning about their scorn
Me in me subduing the sleep due because of the harmony.
All these were immortal gains given to me by God
And I marveled at the beauty of each flower judging them by the Colour.
For these spread happiness as I defined my calibre
I knew them well for this reward would never die
And true is the bliss the Elysian Fields yield of immortality
Addressing them as my own and finding a certain kind of hope.
Across the fields to the other side with enough steps to manoeuver
Where the gods proclaim their legal status and thrive
And here you will find scarecrows, tractors and hats in the best of life.
Without pain and without grief they work here to perform a miracle
With clear weather to the best of the spirits,a tryst with nature.
I converse with them a few words which makes the fields more inevitable
The old shepherd who marvelled at nothing but the beauty
Moved amongst them addressing them again and again
Armed to the teeth with nothingness.
Believed he was the guardian of heaven
And lingered in the fountain of existence,
Never shall I regret the path chosen and pluck these flowers
These give me freedom to write a lot more than I should
Far from the madding crowd,a host of golden daffodils
The whole six yards unfold.
