Echoes Of Love Lost
Echoes Of Love Lost
In a time once came,
When without sight, the day felt tame,
Now time just flows away,
For whom thoughts couldn't delay.
Now the heart refuses to ponder,
The one who once made the day wander.
Now, when that person's memory stirs,
Tears and sorrow, it confers.
Whose eyes once held love's grace,
Now seem to reflect a different face.
We know they harbor no hate,
But the heart debates,
The extent of our distress,
Perhaps breeding hate, nonetheless.
Left alone, reminiscing, tears fall,
Yet not with hatred, after all.
For it was in seeing them, love learned its worth,
But today, that love seems to have lost its birth.
Time will continue its course,
Sorrow may deepen, but in the heart, it'll endorse.
