India is progressing, post-modern and bold,

Where feminism's everywhere, let's dowry's story unfold.

Dowry, a shadow from the past, we must face,

A stain on humanity, a heartless embrace.

Are we not human, with love in our hearts,

In a world where equality plays vital parts?

Dowry's a menace, we must disown,

A custom outdated, in the past overthrown.

Let's rise above, as humanity should,

Stand against dowry, for the greater good,

In unity and love, we must unite,

To banish this darkness, with all our might.

No more a price tag on a bride's worth,

For love is a treasure, from the day of birth,

Dowry, a practice we must discard,

As equals, we stand, in unity, guard.

In this post-modern age, let us pledge anew,

To end this injustice, for me and for you,

For we are all human, in this diverse blend,

And dowry's dark chapter, we must transcend.
