Poisonous People

Poisonous People

In homes where trust and belief lie,

Where poison emits from every sigh,

The serpent's tongue in guise of friend,

A toxin none can comprehend.

Behind the smiles, deceit is bred,

In every word, a hidden thread,

To snare the heart, to cloud the mind,

A venom subtle, yet unkind.

Within the walls where trust should reign,

The toxin spreads, a silent pain,

It twists the truth, it warps the light,

Turning day into darkest night.

Outside, the world reflects this curse,

In social webs, the poison's worse,

The charming face, the crafty hand,

A masquerade, a cunning plan.

They thrive on whispers, spreading fear,

Their motives dark, intentions clear,

To rise on others' downfall steep,

Their souls corrupted, secrets deep.

But through the haze, some see the truth,

The poisoned words, the loss of youth,

They stand against the toxic tide,

With honesty as their guide.

In homes and streets, the battle's waged,

Against the false, the twisted, caged,

For in the end, the heart that's pure,

Will find the strength, the way to cure.

So, rise above the poisoned crowd,

Let integrity speak loudly,

For truth and love, though oft maligned,

Are antidotes to toxic minds.
