Don't Kill Yourself
Don't Kill Yourself
Going through a bad phase, when the thorns prick you
When the vision gets clouded, when you can’t see the path,
When killing yourself seems the only way out
Remember, my friend, God is your charioteer
And, you’re his most trustworthy and powerful soldier!
Inexplicable maybe your grief,
But, don’t suffocate it within,
Vent it out, in any way you wish!
If you feel you lack empathetic ears
Splash them on the blank canvas,
Pen them down in the diary,
Go for a stroll in the garden,
Try out something new!
Remember, my friend, there are many doors
You can choose any, break it if it doesn’t open
But, don’t punish yourself for other’s faults.
Your life is solely your responsibility
Take charge and work your way out.
You need both the sun and the rain to grow
Stay away from toxic thoughts, medium or people
Accept your frailties for they make you human
Don’t be beguiled by false myths and notions!
Be proud of your roots and surroundings
And, never, my dear friend, hate yourself!
So, cheer up, my friend,
You’re not the only one going through hell
Douse your miseries in self-love
Also, spread your brilliance to others.
You’re the universe, you don’t need a support
You can very well thrive on your own.
