I was a bourgeois woman,

A truly studious woman,

I was surrounded by the flowers,

Of happiness, they were the showers.

But then came the day of my marriage,

With a big entry of the carnage.

I did not realise that his promise was a lie,

Till all the freebies began to fly.

I was encircled by his disdain,

And I was groaning with pain.

By his behaviour, he was inordinate,

It was of no use to me, being a brunette.

He slammed my head to the wall,

It didn't take me a second to fall

There was a massive flood,

Of my own flowing blood.

He carried me to the bed,

With my body covered with red,

I harked loudly in pain,

But his efforts didn't go in vain.

To him, I tried my best to pacify,

But to me, he was a terrify,

Like a mosquito I was swattered,

All my dreams were shattered.

I was abused not only physically,

But also verbally,

My rights were stripped,

My freedom was ripped.

All thanks to his family,

Of goodwill, they didn't give him homily.

His character was noxious,

His mental state was obnoxious.

I am a sister and a daughter of this nation,

But towards me, he had no sensation.

I fought till the end for my justice,

"Very soon it will come" the law promised.

Finally he faced the consequences,

He made his admittances.

His efforts to win were futile,

Because he was so brutal.
