Broken
Broken
He was walking away,
His essence, fading, every single step of the way.
Chaos rising inside my mind,
Like a tornado on rewind.
I couldn't comprehend him leaving me behind,
I was grappling, to hold onto any sanity I could find.
The bubble my heart was wrapped in, burst,
The fragility of the moment, caused my insides to combust.
For so long he was my sure thing,
My heart was on the ground, in a puddle.
His leaving was so excruciating,
Every single breath was a struggle.
The horizons of new beginning,
Were seemingly far fetched,
Even the thought of spending the next moment without him,
Left me perplexed.
The loved ones were confident, I'll be fine.
Unaware of the storm brewing underneath,
That the blow, too heavy to find the ground beneath.
The story that was supposed to have a 'happily ever after',
Ended on a cliffhanger with no sequel hereafter.
