As I walk down the lane on a star studded night,

The moon casts a silvery shadow across the moor,

I stealthily approach my spot at the old oak,

Gazing at the skies, trying to find, and there is she,

Shining brightest, against the night sky.

A little angel, sanctified by beauty and grace,

She waves at me with a smile on her serene face,

Her halo demeaning the glow from moonlight,

With wings so grand that cherubs awe with plight.

Shining brightest, against the night sky.

Little blue eyes gleaming down at me,

“I am here mama”, says Carol, my little girl,

Playing peek a do with the angles around,

I see my baby, dancing and singing,

Shining brightest, against the night sky.

Emotions sweep over me like the purple of night,

I see her happy and gay, enveloped in God’s love,

Fred from the pain and suffering, far far away,

Making her mark amongst the constellations,

Shining brightest, against the night sky.

As the first light starts streams through the beautiful night,

She peeps through the clouds with a mischief smile,

Promising to return the next night. I get up to move,

Letting a tear fall through. Knowing I will see her soon,

Shining brightest, against the night sky. Every night !
