Has their empathy diminished and turned lope-sided

What could have caused this upheaval

Wondered the Creator and his disciple

Was it evolution that made humans, inhumane

Or was it the pride of being at the apex of food chain

It was a dismay for the demiurge and heavenly benefactor

To see humans turn shutterbugs during a disaster

Why have humans turned barbarian

Valuing religious beliefs over humanitarian

Lynching, raping, kiling are so prevalent

Are humans turning recusant and intolerant

Satiating their immoral desires seems pleasure to them

How long do the naives suffer from this mayhem

Are we waiting for a miracle for beasts to call truce

Or stop the death knell by tightening the monsters' noose.
