"Rani Lakshmibai"
Came in My Dream
(A stirring poem of patriotism, reality, and inspiration)

Rani Lakshmibai came
in my dream that night,
Her eyes ablaze
with a warrior's light.
She said, “Why do the sons of valor sleep?
Your motherland calls —
the cry is deep.”

The scorched earth
whispered in despair,
“Will you not heed my silent prayer?”
Fields once nourished
with blood and flame,
Do you not recall
their sacred name?

On her shoulders, cannons roared and fell,
In her chest, patriotism fiercely dwelled.
The Queen of Jhansi had returned to say,
“Sacrifice, not excuses, must lead the way.”

No swords now,
no steeds to ride,
Today, the pen must
stem the tide.
Be honest, upright, citizens true,
Let every deed reflect the tricolor hue.

A mother’s love, a sister’s pride,
In every woman, let Lakshmibai reside.
Rise, O youth, before time slips,
Let dreams be shaped by your own fingertips.

In the scent of soil, the martyrs sleep,
Their promises in every breath run deep.
Raise the flag, let it never fall,
Don’t let their sacrifice fade at all.

Leave behind the divides of caste and creed,
One nation, one thought —
that's the need.
Employment, learning,
dignity for all,
True freedom answers such a call.

She said, “There’s still time in your hand,
Strike now — make your final stand.”
“I watch you still — what will you be?
Will you rise, or fade in apathy?”

Then my soul replied with solemn grace,
“O warrior queen, I shall embrace your pace.”
Now, every day I make this vow:
“To serve my land — in thought, in deed, in now.”
