Ephemeral Echoes

Ephemeral Echoes

Today, a cipher in your eyes,

Tomorrow, a star in distant skies.

Your words, like daggers, pierce my core,

But I'll rise above, forevermore.

I've built a world on fragile sand,

Where hopes and dreams entwined and spanned.

But now the tide of truth has turned,

And shattered illusions, fiercely burned.

I've borne the weight of silent strife,

A prisoner of your endless knife.

But chains of doubt will break at last,

As shadows of the past are cast.

Your love, a mirage in desert heat,

A hollow promise, bittersweet.

I'll shed these tears, embrace the pain,

And rise from ashes, strong again.

A bond of blood, once pure and deep,

Now stained with sorrow, lost in sleep.

Your cruelty, a bitter pill,

I'll swallow, heal, and stand still.

I'll vanish like morning mist,

A whisper lost, a fading twist.

No turning back, no second chance,

A heart reborn, a fearless stance.

This agony, a heavy stone,

Crushing spirit, leaving me alone.

But from these depths, I'll find my way,

To dawn of hope, a brighter day.
