An Ode to Deceit

An Ode to Deceit

Innocence, an ally you seemed to be,

unaware of your cruel decree.

Beneath your guise, a violence concealed,

The calm façade, a mask unsealed.

In need, you failed to abide.

Disloyalty in your bond did reside.

Your heart, opportunistic and cold,

leaving wounds and stories untold.

Vain efforts, heartless moves displayed,

time wasted on a façade, now dismayed.

Precious time lost, once cherished, now gone,

a pal I thought I had, but I was wrong.

Pointing fingers, as if I erred,

endured your tantrums, long deferred.

Your Kakos rhythm, your selfish tune,

ignite my wrath more like a monsoon.

On the broken path, your choice confessed,

In your opportunistic quest, now you must invest.

Farewell, heartless pest, our bond's now torn,

A friend I never was, nor will I mourn.

Embrace your shattered road, your choice decreed,

Embrace your opportunistic quest, your selfish creed.

Farewell, heartless one; our bond now ceased,

Your pal, I never was. May your heart find peace.

In days of yore, how vital your gleam,

Now this ode, a farewell, to redeem.

My queen of schemes, opportunistic sheen,

May you see, in ruins, you reign supreme.

Your once vital allure is now but a dream,

In this ode, your departure, I esteem.

Farewell, my queen of schemes, your reign is seen,

In your ruins alone, you dwell, it's deemed.
