Covid-19

The World Was progressing steadily,

At its own time and pace.

While suddenly came a pandemic

To hinder the human race.

Sci-fi writers may have thought in the past;

This was because of increase in carbon emission and population,

But it took only a virus

To destroy many a nation.

Yes, a virus is what it took

to destroy the world's routine.

I=One fine day the news said,

"Millions have dies due to COVID 19"

Our lives became miserable,

All were in front of some screen.

All it took to ruin the world was,

A mere virus COVID 19.

Still, we had a cosy life,

nice, neat and clean.

But the labourers suffered more than anyone

In the pandemic COVID 19.

They couldn't go to their loved ones,

Food and water were unclean.

Alas! So many suffered

in the pandemic COVID 19.

Still, we were about to recover,

And go out of our cave;

When it came forcing us back in,

The stretch called "Second wave."

History repeated itself,

People died, Survival became lean.

Alas! the world is suffering

in the pandemic COVID 19.

But still some miserable people,

Some brain-sicks

Amidst this trying time,

They're talking about "Politics".

Wars are outbreaking,

Election campaigns are outraging,

But these political sickheads

Don't understand what a common man's facing.

To end I shall ask for a pledge,

 One of Humanity and Peace

So all of us- Whatever caste or religion,

Can live life at ease.

This Pandemic is one of the hurdles,

Nature testing whether we waver.

But you, by taking this pledge,

Can become our saver.
