Comfort Zone
Comfort Zone
There are two people I know
One's a gypsy and one's a princess.
The other wants to adorn her feet with the finest glass slippers
One wants to run barefoot on the wet grass.
One has no inhibitions and speaks her mind
One is polite and poised
One rises with the sun and counts the star at night
The other dreams of fulfilling her duties and destiny
One wants to paint a blue sunset
While one wants to look her best
One wishes to fly with the birds
While the other wouldn’t dare dirty her robes
Then there’s also times
When the gypsy feels lonesome
And the princess feels caged
Wishing for things entirely different
There's also times
When there’s little choice
In what the princess or the gypsy
knows or wants
Sometimes the princess has to slay dragons
And the gypsy falls in love with the prince
Sometimes the music is for the princess
And the dance is reserved for the gypsy
There’s always a twist ahead
There’s a turn no-one imagined
Because that’s life
It pushes you around
It gives you opportunities
It gives you challenges
No matter who you are
Life doesn’t discriminate
It’d up to you to rise up to the challenge
Grab the opportunities with both hands
Pack your bags
And move to where life takes you
For out of your comfort zones
Is where you learn
Where you grow
And where you change.
