Colors of autumn,

Pensive and soft,

Papery as the skin,

Of my grandmother, 

Now dead,

Changing colors,

A multiplicity,

Of brown and green,

Of our collective inheritance,

Of cat eyes and dog eyes,

Deep shades,

Resonate regret,

Lighter ones,

Remembrances,

Leaves pigmented with memories,

Float down,

Sighing secrets,

Autumn falls within me,

Soundlessly,

Crinkling edges of memory,

Whispering, let go, let go!
