Clay
Clay
Father, they are made of clay,
"Born to rule", but don't ever stay,
How can someone be this way,
Mud, dirt yet proud as day.
Father, you taught me not to hate,
Told me to love my neighbor,
And pray the demons away,
But these men come for me every day,
Gone with the wind, this girl can't stay.
Father if you could tell them who you raised,
A warrior under the rain,
And the eclipse of the sun,
Never born for the cage,
This girl won't fall,
You can't stay,
Don't try to break me,
I am not made of clay.
