Promises to break,

Promises to keep,

Promises that don't let me sleep.

Promises in transit,

Promises yet not made,

Promises that made Hercules great.

Promises that broke hearts with age,

Promises that don't give away,

Promises to hold you till you really stay.

Promises of the oceans,

Promises of the stars,

Promises of empty vessels of "mine and ours".

Promises keep going,

While we may be caught,

So let these promises go,

So that we may not.
