Catch The Rainbow
Catch The Rainbow
Through the mist after summer rain,
A painted arc adorns the sky,
I reach my hands up once again,
To catch the colors floating by.
But rainbows dance beyond my grasp,
They shimmer where the sunlight bends,
Like dreams too beautiful to clasp,
A bridge that neither starts nor ends.
Yet still I chase that fleeting light,
Across the meadows wet with dew,
For some things burning pure and bright,
are meant to chase, not hold onto.
So let me run beneath that glow,
With open heart and hopeful eyes,
The joy is in the hunt, I know—
The magic lives in how we try.
