Broken

Oh how do you express

this sense of despair;

Of this life so bare;

Of belonging nowhere.

Of the many little things

that was your dream -

But now all crushed

that you wished you could scream.

Of the time when you were

so sure of things;

But now you feel impaired

because of what time slowly brings.

Of the feeling of bliss 

when you were just a child,

But now all drained

like the colors of the dying sky.

Of all that you loved,

and all that you cared -

But now ripped apart,

it all seems unfair!

Of the many little things that you wanted to do,

wanted to reach, wanted to prove;

But now seems so shaken

that you can no longer move.

Of the surging waves of thoughts,

of feelings so fierce -

But which now don't exist;

Now all reduced to just mere tears.

Oh will you ever be able to express

this sense of despair;

Of this life being so bare -

Of belonging nowhere?
