Boys and Girls

I wonder

Why boys  

Are ever

Lonesome.

For they

Have, doting

Mothers, fighting

Sisters, favourite

Uncles, and 

Affectionate aunts, 

And of course,

Proud papas 

To pour

Numerous

Giant coloured 

Petals of

Affection.

For afterall

He's a boy

And that 

Is just enough.

Never mind 

The nasty 

Tempers,

The sour

moods, the

Tantrums,

The straw 

Stuff in his 

Mind that

Prevents him 

From thinking.

And what 

About girls?

Why is it 

That always 

The opposite 

Applies here ?

A girl can 

Never have 

Her own way

Or even

Her say.

I wonder

If any 

Girl has

Never felt 

A state of

Homelessness.

For though 

It is she,

Who makes

A house 

A home,

Where indeed 

Is her home ?
