Birth of a Story

Birth of a Story

In the depths of the mind, a seed takes root,

A tale yet untold, waiting to bear fruit.

Slowly it grows within the womb of thought,

A writer's creation, intricately wrought.

Like a sculptor shaping clay with gentle hands,

The story line develops, as if it understands.

With each passing day, it gains strength and form,

A world taking shape, amidst the mental storm.

The writer becomes God, with power untold,

Deciding who shall perish, who shall unfold.

Contemplating whom to kill, who will survive,

In this realm of words, where stories come alive.

Birth pangs of creation, the writer endures,

Labouring to bring forth a world that allures.

Emotions intertwine with empty words on the pages,

Breathing life into characters, their essence engages.

But at times, struggles emerge in the writer's quest,

To infuse emotion, fill hollow words with zest.

Yet the support system of environment prevails,

Inspiring the writer, as creativity sails.

A stroll in the park, bustling cities, quiet shores,

Provide the backdrop for emotions to explore.

The tapestry of life, woven within each line,

Enriching the story, making it truly divine.

Sometimes, alas, a story dies within the writer's mind,

Unborn, it remains, its potential left behind.

Ideas lost in the abyss, never to see the light,

A stillbirth of creation, a poignant and silent plight.

But when stories do emerge, premature and frail,

They face the scrutiny of readers, their verdicts prevail.

Some draw the flak of critics, their flaws exposed,

While others find adoration, like a sweet-scented rose.

For every tale that falls short, there are lessons to glean,

A chance for the writer to reflect and reconvene.

And amidst the cherished stories, those that find their way,

The writer's heart rejoices, basking in their display.

So let the story be told, its secrets unfurled,

From the depths of the writer's imaginative world.

For, in the delivery of a story, magic takes flight,

Igniting hearts, sparking minds, in the realm of endless light.

So, dear fellow writer, fear not the uncertainties that may arise,

Embrace the creative journey and let your imagination rise.

For within your mind's womb, stories will always breed,

Some may stumble, some may soar, always fulfilling your need.
