Oh rulers, do you think that all your misdeeds
Can not be found by subjects?
Tragedy, the law declares subjects to be very careful,
A sedition charge is to be used against them.
Oh Rulers create an environment of
Divisive politics in your governance,
Then give threats to freedom of expression
For your Good governance.
Oh Rulers, for your conduct incidents of mob
Lynching has become common,
On such a map subjects cannot recognise iron

Oh lawmakers, in a democracy, what an old and
Disgusting belief you have,
According to you only good opinions towards
The government should survive.
Oh lawmakers, the right to question, criticize and
Change peacefully the rulers,
It is very much fundamental to the idea of
Democracy everywhere.
Oh lawmakers, you say, the bad opinions
Towards Government are detrimental,
Though the government in every democracy
Is no more monarchical.
Oh lawmakers, have you forgotten the canons of
World’s democratic tradition
The only essential ingredient of democracy is
Right to free speech and expression.
Oh lawmakers, it is strange criticism of policy
Of the government of the day or dissent
It is not in consonance with the democratic constitution, so
A person on a sedition charge should be prosecuted.
Oh lawmakers, you forgot, how in history sedition
Law could be misused,
Used as a tool to curb free speech or dissent arbitrarily
Under the changed facts.
Oh Lawmakers, your whispers to change are not okay
Why are predisposed to hiding,
Say it out loud, whispers are not okay, who are in the
