Bandhan Versus burden

Very beautiful and attractive she was

Who stole my heart and mind gosh

And made me blind and possessive

For long she was unseen and elusive

Until she approached me one auspicious day

Which proved not so befitting to me anyway

As this was the Hindu day of Raksha Bandhan

And she stood before me with a colorful Rakhi

Only to plant the "burden" on my bare wrist

Call it the "band" of honour on my unwilling hand

Of all my life's burdens I came across till date

This truly was the most unexpected and tragic one!
