Another Life

Once upon a time there was a girl,

In another life, in another world.

She married at the age 18,

She wore a pink ice wedding ring.

2 months later she jumped for joy!

Will it be a girl or boy?

A beautiful girl we named Alexis Renee,

That was 20 yrs ago today.

A couple years later I was blessed to be

On her way was

Cyleste Ann Marie.

I was the happiest mama in the whole wide world,

To be blessed with 2 beautiful girls.

A few years later I was proud to say,

Alicia Faith was on her way.

11 months later we jumped for joy,

Then came Chandler Thomas,

Finally my boy!

These are my children, I loved them so,

Then one day I was forced to let them go.

They were mine, by God given right,

I wasn’t letting them go without a fight.

Little did I know I was being deceived,

To this day I still can’t believe,

That my own sister would rob me.

She stole my children but let me believe, when I was back on my feet, she would return them to me.

I prepared for that day, but that day never came,

She kept them from me,

And changed their names.

To this day my sister does not see,

What she has done to me.

My life is empty, I’ve lost hope,

I struggle to find ways to cope.

Time is precious, once lost you can’t get it back,

I wait for Karma to have my back.

This was not right, in no way just,

There isn’t a single person that I trust.

She caused a hole in my heart, and lost my soul,

Never again can I be whole.

My entire life was taken you see,

A broken soul is all that’s left of me.
