An Enchanting Life!

An Enchanting Life!

Astounded by the heart-wrenching news of the Australian bush fire,

The prediction of death and devastation, rising higher and higher!

As my peace was continually threatened by the question,

"Is this how man's destiny is shaped?"

I had no answer and I needed to escape.

I just wandered and found myself in my favorite space.

There stood my true companion, my savior the tree!

I was sure it will untangle my thoughts and set me free.

The gentle breeze whispered a comforting lullaby, and I sat gazing at the stars twinkling by.

I was enveloped by the peace and unanimity of the moment.

Comforted, and reassured, I felt the sadness melt away.

The tree-like a trusted friend sat beside me and said,

“For years man has lived an enchanting life!”

His precedence was clearly defined and he prospered in almost every aspect of life.

He was convivial, and thrived on the simplicity of life!

Come, I will show you how the enchanted ways of nature, enriched his life?

His life was simple as his needs were not governed by greed.

He found delight with ease,

Be it in the melodious music of the summer breeze

Or the dance of the water droplets on the freshly blossomed flowers under the first morning rays.

These simple things were enough to sing the Creator's praise!

He lived happily in the lap of Mother Nature to upraise!

And the man couldn’t see the shore of reality anymore.

All he was interested in was getting a higher score than ever before.

Consumed by his selfish desire, he forgot all his duties

And robbed me of my mystifying beauty!

These desires gave birth to a never satiated hunger,

And the man was reduced to a money monger!

Little did he know that his greed would be so ruinous!

Not for me, but for him it will be disastrous!

Caught in his greed’s vicious cycle,

Now, the man is fighting for his survival.

His heart is bleeding! I can see

I can hear his plea,

But this time he needs to pay!

For all the wrongs so that, in future, he never sways.

But I am Mother Nature, to nurture, is my nature!

How can I leave you, my child, with such a bleak future?

Come, I will teach you to lead an enchanting life.

So, in harmony with nature, you can thrive!

Life.

So, in harmony with nature, you can thrive!
