Alex’s Fate

His parents were out for work,

Alex was all alone.

He was entertaining himself with TV,

When the lights were gone.

He was not quite imaginative,

As his parents always said;

Then he answered the call of nature

And went straight to bed.

He tried to sleep.

The next moment he heard a loud groan,

Feared, he quickly grabbed his phone.

The battery was down,

The torch was dim.

But he could make out a leaden figure

Staring out on him.

He could hear the howls of the creature.

And thought his fate was sealed,

“No one can save me now,

Today I’ll be killed!”

He mustered some courage,

And found out,

The creature was close to the bed,

Then he felt something wet on his body.

He thought, “This is BLOOD… I’m DEAD!”

The lights came, finally.

Which were still pretty dim;

Alex took a glance and fainted

When he saw his dog Rocky urinating on him.
