Reformation Against The Catholics

A long time ago,

When the Crusades were fought.

The public had to follow the Pope;

Or face his wrath!

Tithe and Peter's Pence

Were collected vigorously.

The peasants and farmers,

Were tortured harshly.

Humanism rose up

To defend the people.

The Church went speechless

By every passing day it's power bacame feeble.

The Church & the Pope Continued with their criminal actions!

"Gather more money." was the motive,

Whether it be whole or in fractions.

Rose up Martin Luther

With his group of Protestants!

Fought with the Catholics 

And acquired many achievements.

Luther's parchments,

Set ablaze the Reformation.

Leaving the Pope bamboozled,

And filled with consternation.
