Agony Over Straying Damsel
Agony Over Straying Damsel
Arise! And come away!
O thou fair and beautiful damsel!
Why hast thou departed to the lying truth?
Why, in seek of pleasure, destroyed thyself?
Thou art sick of love;
Thine love hast deceived thee.
It ain`t true love, but lust.
Arise! And come away, o thou precious one!
Before thine spring shalt be dried up,
Thine fountain fails you,
The pain of travailing woman
Shall come upon you,
Before thou shalt be desolated,
I say, return! o thou fair damsel!
Thou still has hope but in the blood alone.
The redeeming blood of Jesus Christ offers salvation.
Break up thine fallow heart and confess.
For, it is timed to seek the Lord.
No time is too late to come away;
No time is too early for Him;
No time is as best as now.
