Act I: The World I See
Act I: The World I See
An ochre shade with growing patches of coffee,
Even the perfect leaf dried stale as time flee.
Clouds can fly til the end of the run,
By raining, and they pour on everyone.
It's easier to cry your tears out,
Than carrying the weight out and about.
My dreams similarly dance around,
But they hope for a land that's seldom found.
Sandcastles in the pouring rain,
Hemispheres that break and bend.
Pretty skies that shine and stain,
A road no one can comprehend.
If we could harness pure knights,
Would our bones still be soaking wet.
Even with virtuous fights,
Would their carnage drown us in debt.
Love is the one thing that's most gracious,
In a world so fatuously loquacious.
But its intimate delicacy,
Makes it a delicate ecstasy.
Even divine Gods weep when their children die...
A dead bird in the green park,
How fatal is the man's mark.
Even on the darkest days there are stars in the sky,
Even when clouds pour their falling tears make rainbow smiles.
