A Worthwhile Wait

To all the ladies who broke my heart,

Citing various examples proving to

Be smart; no matter how much I

Tried to invite you in my life

To make you all princess of

My own paradise

You showed no patience

To stick around me, especially

During that time when everything

Fell apart in my life

You were gone like the wind

Never to return again

I kept waiting for you till dusk to dawn

In every season, be it rainy or autumn

For the time, we had spent together

I kept rewinding it over and over

I felt even more lonely and miserable

As a part of me was lost then

One day, I decided to move on

And never to look back ever

Things seemed to be falling into place

I felt rejuvenated and amazed 

At the Universe; so benevolent

Which made her path to cross mine

My optimistic wait proved to be

So worthwhile in the end 

Now that I’ve found my special one

My life has turned into a new leaf

Despite all your unreasonable remarks

For you, I carry no regrets in my heart
