A Village Girl

I was just sixteen, with rainbows in my eyes,

I wanted to paint the sky and sway in soothing breeze.

I know I am a girl, I knew you would send me away some day,

But why you made my destiny a nightmare.

You made me hold a hand, that doubled the size of my little fingers,

He pushed me off, he hit me hard and took my innocence away.

I was too young to leave my candy box but you pushed me into the world,
