A Song For A Bossom Friend
A Song For A Bossom Friend
Greater than a bag of gold
Invaluable than any land sold
Held my hand at bus stand
Spent years in hand in hand
Sure, he will stay until my end
He is my bosom friend
He was the one
When there was none
Stood in difficulties
Listened to my sad music of life
Prepared me for my dreams
Borrowed money in needs
Brought books to ignite mind
Thrilled, if I was admired
Walked in the meadows in springs
Stood in the shadows in sunrays
Played games indoors
Enjoyed parties outdoors
Watched movies in theaters
Visited historical spots in adventure
All envied our company
Felt jealous of our friendship
Foes intrigued for straight fights
Neighbors wanted quarrel at nights
But Time stole our merry for twenty years
In painful hours of agony
Looked long for him
Longed for his tight hug
But he was not there
His pretty face unseen
His affectionate words unheard
His lovely touch unfelt till now
I imagine of his form
As he is older, older than me
He may be with shabby looks
I am in white beard on my cheeks
Age might ravaged our beauty
But still love is fresh between us
As the moon, the sun and the stars
Time broke doors of silence now
And brought a chance to meet him
My heart digged deep our sweet memories
Remembered joyful days in green pastures
Recollected sad nights in the moonlights
Our smiles and tears in the campus
Like uncountable stars in the universe
My untired heart with heavy feelings
Full of emotions to reflect gratitude
A lot of feelings to express my love
Awaiting for a moment to record that
Missing means sometimes meeting again
As Time can depart and reunite true friends
