A Not So Good Day

To start with, I woke up,

To find out that the maid broke my favorite cup.

While I brushed my teeth,

I found a spider crawling over my feet.

While bathing chills ran down my spine,

Something was wrong with the hot water pipeline.

While having breakfast I saw,

Some politician had again broken a law.

For not doing homework, I was scolded at school,

I so wanted to drown in a pool.

When I reached home, all I could see,

Was a note that mom had gone for a movie without me.

By mistake, I saw a horror movie,

Which made sleeping a challenge for me.

So I decided to sit straight,

And pen down my day.

I should have let the world wait,

I should have stayed in bed today.
