You were there for us always,

To love, care and share all our thoughts,

For food, your kitchen was always full,

For love, your heart was overfull!

You were so frank and good,

Your thoughts all were as pure as you,

You treated all of us equally,

And spoke well with everyone easily!

You were full of kind words and deeds,

You were an epitome of goodness,

Always ready to reach out and help,

Many others told me the same, they felt!

Your dear friends and loved ones,

All had such good words for you,

You had touched them more than a way or two,

All were in tears to bid you adieu!

You had a lovely voice to sing,

You had nimble fingers to grow,

You had a tasty hand to cook,

You had skillful fingers to knit!

You had a special bond with animals,

You had steel hands to work,

You had a caring heart of gold,

Your presence we feel near us, we behold!

Always ready to welcome everyone at home,

With your warm smile and endless talk,

You don't know the void you have left,

It's too difficult to fill it, I fret!

Now, I realise how much we miss you,

Cannot be measured in any way,

It's much more than anything on earth,

Nothing is as precious as your worth!

We pray God to keep you happy and in peace,

You have reached the heavens first,

And you will be there to welcome us,

Rest well and pray for us, to live a good life here on earth!
