Mother

My Mother! She is an epitome of kindness,

just like the beautiful Nature that is benevolent.

she is uncomplaining and patiently waits for things to evolve,

like elements of the Nature that are patient until things unfold.

As life keeps me teaching in tougher ways,

Mother, I learn fragments of things about life from you in a gentle way.

She stands by my side even when days navigate between pacification and conniption.

She doesn't claim of her saintliness through her selflessness borders human limitation,

she is the only person in my life who doesn't require any validation.

When life tests me with unfair situations she keeps vigil and prays,

all of my thoughts vanish in the dark as she pats to sleep.

The sense of security I feel in her arms brings me back vibrantly to life,

Dear Mother! there are no words to describe your legacy.

You are the only person in my life who was never aware of pragmatism,

Motherhood symbolizes unconditional love that defies every other relationship that exists.

Being an empathetic soul you don't expect materialistic things,

all you deserve is my time and love for you more than anyone else.

For all the sacrifices you make nothing in this world can suffice,

Oh Mother!except my prayers and gratitude for you.
