A Letter
A Letter

Every day the postman rings the bell
At my window I eagerly await
For his letter and the postmaster's call
I get worried when he becomes late.
He left me here with his empty promises
And every moment reminisce his smile
Despite my several reminders, he rejects
All my efforts to see him became futile
One day the postman came a bit earlier
Rang the bell to snatch my attention
I ran to receive the much-awaited letter
When I opened it killed all my expectation
He informed me to forget him and the beautiful past
My tears rolled down and it shattered my innocent heart.
