A Garden in My Mind
A Garden in My Mind
In the garden at the back of my mind
I plant the seeds of thought.
They grow to form a flower bed,
It’s my choice whether they’re beautiful or not.
So many seeds I had to choose from,
Positivity or negativity, kindness or cruelty,
I knew what was to come,
But a difficult choice it proved to be.
And I can use my time to please
My neighbour’s garden and watch their flowers bloom,
Or grow my own seeds into big and beautiful trees.
Into an inspiring summer room.
Imagine a garden at the back of your head,
Your thoughts are the seeds you plant,
You can choose between good or bad, alive or dead,
You can’t choose the wrong seeds, you can’t.
