A corner of a classroom

A corner of a classroom

In morning when the sun rises,

Beneath the cloudy, shadowy, skies,

A well-built roof, full of toddlers,

Is visited in the midst of vices.

A lady standing in the centre,

Is teaching her class as a mentor,

Being heard from all corners of class,

Is teaching English's first chapter.

Suddenly millions of raindrops shower

In the field, in the middle of the hour,

The splash of tiny drops,

and a little drizzling on the crops,

Is adored by all the kids,

Who lost their mind amid.

All of them lost their patience,

And b

egan their endless conversations,

The front two in their drawing books,

Started making boats and umbrellas,

While one at the corner of the room,

Started reading poetry from one of his comic books.

All of them lent their ears to the child,

Who moved to and fro around his desk,

Just to eat an apple from his basket,

And reciting the poem, smiled, smiled and smiled.

Just then the school bell rang,

And all of them in choir sang,

Thank you ma'am, thank you ma'am,

You showed us the way like a magic lamp,

Thank you ma'am, thank you ma'am.
