I chose you over myself. 

Was this the fault? 

That day, after the storm, 

Why did we reminisce the night we kissed, 

When all you wanted was to leave me in the storm? 


I looked in the mirror today; 

It wasn’t me! 

2:00 AM it was, hoping for your 

Warmth just like another ray. 


 ‘Fuck all’, I said to myself 

And yet again I chose you over myself.

All said “love is painful”; 

But how could I knew

Because I was that pain.
