A Missing Railway Ticket

It was during morning rush hour. A young lady about 28 year old got off at a railway platform. She was suddenly caught by ticket checker at Bombavli in the morning hour of a working day.

She had fear over her face. She had tension in her mind. She got nervous and nonchalant. She also got shivering.

She said, 'I have a ticket'.

"I have purchased ticket" but her request failed. She nibbled and fumbled in her purse. She scribbled away and searched every corner of her purse; but she could not find it. Scrawled and scratched her purse in anger.

The train of thought running in her mind one by one. Her project presentation in the morning at sharp.10.a.m.

If she failed, to reach the company, her salary increment would be decreased. Her future on that project depended. Company project on her presentation. If presentation is not done on time, her future and also company dream project will be derailed. Such precious opportunity, she did not want it to slip away easily. But now how can she do?

Ticket checker brought her into court. Court fined her. At last she paid fine. She went on her way to office but till then company project presentation time was over. It was too late.

She then took a big sigh. Her throat was thirsty. She drew money purse, into it a folded note she found. She unfolded which was wrapped like' ciggarate roll'. She stretched notes tangled into fold. It was running ticket of railway for which she was fined. It consumed her time and future wasted for whole life.
