Fear Or Unity? In Uniqueness

We were all born in different environments,

Environments that were bound by

Different cultures and traditions,

The different cultures that we came from

Are the reasons we are unique,

Unique to how we see the world around us,

Unique to how we do things in our lives,

These cultures are the deep roots of our being

But they don't completely define our path,

They may be part of our identity,

But not the whole of who we really are,

The different cultures should not shadow

What we may believe in,

They should be our pride,

But also part of the unity that we can bring in,

There has been a history of events

That caused destruction due to cultural differences,

Differences in opinions creating disorder,

Differences in beliefs that cost the lives of millions,

Our cultures are supposed to be our strength,

Our cultures supposed to be the meaning of diversity

That makes us unique from other nations,

We may be a part of it,

But they are part of us to,

Why don't we unite and celebrate

This uniqueness among us?

Why is there always a fear of

Awakening differences?

When all we have is

Knowledge in our minds and pride in our hearts

To not only be a part of different cultures,

But also a nation too...
