Pages Of My Heart

My heart had been torn apart

By the people I loved,

People whom I cherished the most,

People whose existence meant more

Than I could ever explain,

My heart has become like a book,

Pages of which are filled with emotions,

Emotions so deep that

Even I could not explain,

It's not the whole book I worry about,

But just a few a pages,

Like the pieces of my heart

That I want to keep safe,

Safe from the wind that

May blow them away,

Save those memories from the world

And not lose them forever,

It's tough to hide these emotions

That run down the pages like ink,

Leaving a mark that may fade in time,

But will never go away,

Every beat in my heart now

Is like a new story I write in these pages,

Moments of which I want to keep safe,

But hurts too when tears wash them away,

Tears that pour like rain in the day,

Making it difficult to protect

The feelings that I hold in,

Tears that I struggle to hide from the world,

Overflows with pain in my heart,

Leaving trails of deep emotions
