A Teen- Verse

A Teen- Verse

3 mins

Host: It was one such vague effort

To bring them together - all my friends

In accordance with the new trends

Many couldn't make it - it did hurt

Guest: I have a busy schedule quite unique

With workouts for my physique

Pardon me, I’ll cheer you all

Till I meet my end and fall

Host: It's the soul which should be

Fed than the body if you ask me

The body can be slain by knives

Even then the soul thrives

Guest: l love idealism, the way you perceive

But I'm a realist, believing my eyes

I believe in what I believe

And what I believe is what I realize

Host: You have so much more to realize

You will when the time comes to stay calm

I hope they won't cheat- your eyes

And your views bring no harm

Guest: (Her belief is so nice !)

Everyone has so much more to realize

When and how do we completely realize

The hidden truth and lies?

Host: What I’m saying reflects what I've seen

Experienced, learned, and been

Through all these 16 years. So the key

Is experiences. Maybe

Guest: I’m looking for mine

Hoping I find none!

Now I’m happy. I’m fine

Once I know I may not be the same one

Host: Why waste time thinking?

Ignorance saves you from sinking.

Is this your conclusion?

I call it a mere illusion.

Guest: Life, if started judging

On sentiment basis

Only aids you in nudging

Towards crisis

Host: (Could this be the reason

For frequent thoughts of suicides

My mind like the tides?

Self treason)

Guest: To live happily accept the reality

Host: It’s your reality, not THE REALITY

Guest: Why interpret reality in different ways

Host: With 7.8 Billion exists 7.8 Billion realities in 7.8 billion ways

Guest: It’s under the same sky we live

It’s the same effect realities give

When injured be it me or you

We’ll be hurt and bleed too

Host: We bleed it’s the same, but not the grief.

We all are the same at first sight

But our views are different right?

You’re referring to the body, me –soul in brief!

Guest: We live in our physical form

Why think beyond the norm?

Spirituality – does it make sense?

Anyone, to prove its existence?

Host: How can atoms make us feel

Intense emotions hard to conceal

If we are as science taught

Won’t we be like a robot?

Guest: It sounds odd.

Are you referring to god?

Makes me think

Confused I’m about to sink

Host: About science and god

To both, I do nod

A Temptation to search more

Till I find what I’m looking for

Guest: Its god I see

In every being except me

Plants and Animals keep me alive

Kith and kin - a reason to thrive.

Host: Different views persist for each and every one

The environment we are exposed to

Influences what we do

And shape our character in the long run.

Creating god and science we claim

The world’s under our control

But humans are not to blame.

What else is the choice? What else is the goal?

Guest: With the knowledge gained, we search for roots.

Only to be left with a wry

Our efforts bear no fruits

How hard we try

Host: Either the universe is simple and we are the craze

Or it's sophisticated with us in a maze.

In the end sad to say that

Everything turns futile even this chat

Host: Seems like I won't stop. Oh it’s a curse

Did I steal your time?

Guest: Thank this Teen-verse

Devoid of a clock to chime

Host: Listening to me might spoil your youth

Guest: I got to know your version of the truth

Host: Much more to unearth it’s pending

Guest: Yet another happy ending!
