The Hidden Eden

The Hidden Eden

I sat in my Balcony, after a long time

Watching the cat’s crime,

From each other , what the squirrels seize,

Enjoying the night sky and the cool breeze.

I had time, plenty of it,

To notice the trees bearing fruits,

The variety of insects beneath the roots,

The snakes slithering and the peacock dancing a bit

There exists chirrups of birds , apart from pop

If you’ve ears to lend.

After smelling the roses with a slight body bend

Even to the deos you will say nope.

Stepping on the grass is after when

It felt so refreshing to me.

Within each home there lies an Eden

If you open your eyes to see.

One need not be an actor

To dance and embrace the Monsoon’s touch.

But not too much –

Of course it is a crucial factor.

Nature does offer so much more,

Which the busy houses often ignore.

Starting from shapeless clouds to petrichor ,

Lockdown is not completely bore.
