Time Management

Though they have flown out of the nest

built their own in the west

I understand when they write

to say "sorry for the delay in

communication, every morning

I enter the zone of madness"

As though it was any different!

Didn't I get up before the crow's caw

all through the years when they were

growing up? Didn't I go through 

the same rigmarole, cooking, packing

lunch boxes, running household chores.

Polishing shoes, ironing uniforms 

and then rushing off for work?

But managed to hold back time

Write that postcard to Dad and Mum

Assuring them all was right, nothing

to worry, their girl was doing fine.

And all this accomplished without

the modern gadgets...microwave,

washing machine, piped gas.

Has twenty fours since then shrunk?

I keep wondering...

coz. they complain so much
