FIRST LOVE
FIRST LOVE
The day slowly sifted through the night
One leaf awoke
Finding a blossom so near
The fervor and ardor looked through their eyes
He opened his greens, she blushed wide
A dew dropped onto one
The other smiled
They saw through the virgin glass people galore
As the dew dropped down to the other
She was so careful to hold
The pearl, the gift of first love.
He turned green
She to periwinkle blues
For in the azure skies
Sun and wind decided to play spoilsport
A waft of wind, some heat did the job
A tussle, hustle bustle
Lovers separated, dew evaporated
Another first love lost.
