The Two Worlds
The Two Worlds
I live in a place where truth is bitter,
And you are given a daily dose.
I live in a place where lies are told,
And you still fail to be bold.
I live in a place where dogs seem cute but harsh is their bark.
I live in a place where everything seems light but is dark.
One day sick of my reality,
I shipped to a better world.
Where my desires mattered
And the truth didn't hurt.
It was lighter here, more optimistic.
Finally, I thought life was worth living.
I ventured upon this alternate truth
And discovered it bent at my will.
But you should know when you are
Happiest that is when it strikes cos
It's also the time you have things
To lose.
Suddenly with clutter, a bit of noise,
I woke up and came back to my world.
